PFA Challenge 2011 - Return to Malaysia
3 - 11 June 2011
Join us in June 2011 as we return to Malaysia for our next exciting PFA overseas challenge event. Six teams of participants will be captained by ex-professional footballers as they compete for the PFA Charity Challenge Cup.
Day 1- Friday 3 June
Depart from the UK on Emirates Airlines for your flight to Dubai.
Arrive into Dubai and connect onto your flight to Kuala Lumpur.
Day 2 - Saturday 4 June
Arrive into Kuala Lumpur and transfer to your hotel.
Relax and enjoy an evening meal and presentation in preparation for the challenge ahead.
Day 3 - Sunday 5 June
Start the challenge with the ascent of one of the world’s towers – KL Tower –
Not the easy way, but by climbing the 2058 steps to the top. Each team will be timed to the top and then compete in a zip slide descent on The Flying Fox! *
After lunch in the KL Tower, transfer to the Cameron Highlands and your home for the next few days The
Strawberry Park Resort

Day 4 - Monday 6 June
Trek to Kampung Sungai Attap and stay overnight in the Orang Asli settlement. The Orang Asli are the
indigenous people, many of whom still live in the Cameron Highlands.
Activities will be arranged with the Orang Asli, followed by dinner and the Sewang – the traditional native welcome dance.
Day 5 - Tuesday 7 June
After breakfast blowpipe demonstration and competition, followed by half day uphill trek in the afternoon to Kampung Sungai Ruil.
Return to Strawberry Park Resort.
Day 6 - Wednesday 8 June
Trek to the highest point in the Cameron Highlands – Gunung Brinchang at 6,600ft above sea level.
Walk down to the Boh Tea Plantation and try your hand at tea picking! Then take part in a friendly football match with the local people at Tanah Rata.
BBQ dinner at Jim Thompson Terrace in Strawberry Park.
Day 7 - Thursday 9 June
Drive to Kuala Kubu, one of Malaysia’s major rivers which was dammed 10 years ago. Teams
compete in the white water rafting Sungai Selangor Adventure race on a grade 4 river.
Transfer to Kalumpang Eco Resort where you will stay overnight.
Day 8 - Friday 10 June
Return to the Kuala Kubu river for Kayaking Challenge followed by Flying Fox Challenge zip slide over the river.
Return to Kuala Lumpur and check into the Impiana Hotel for your final night and gala dinner.
Day 9 - Saturday 11 June
Free time in Kuala Lumpur for shopping or a visit to the Aquarium before transfer to the airport.
Return to the UK via Dubai.
